So as much as I love trying out new makeup, I also do love coming home and taking it all out after a long day. Let me start by saying this Garnier Micellar water was a complete game changer to my skincare routine. Most people might have come across this already but for those of you that are not familiar with micellar water please continue reading.
Okay so what micellar water does is simple. It’s meant to remove makeup, cleanses, and tone your skin. This is done all in one step without rinsing with water. The concept of micellar water is to work like a magnet where the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from the skin. It works very gently so you don’t need to rub to remove impurities and make-up.
I chose the sensitive skin micellar water from Garnier which seemed to work perfectly for my skin. They also have Garnier micellar oil in water and Garnier Micellar Pure Active depending on your skin type. The most amazing thing about this product is that it doesn’t contain perfume which is ideal for sensitive skin and is dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested. Garnier also claims that their 400ml Micellar water bottle of product should last for 200 uses (that works out to 2ml per cotton pad). It’s preferable to use micellar water with cotton pads as its more hygienic and because how much of dirt you have on your face will show up onto the cotton pad.
This product retails for R79.95. It also comes in a mini (100ml) if you want to try it but not really committed to buying the full-sized product. Also, if you feel that it’s way too much to spend on the micellar water and cotton pads (about R25 for 100 pads), there is the option of buying Garnier micellar wipes. They come in 25 ultra-soft wipes which costs R54.95
I love this product so much that I have been through countless bottles already. This product gets a 10/10 from me.
